We hope all our mothers had a wonderful Mother’s Day.
Our final weeks of school have been busy and lots of fun. We had fun with circles and made pancakes for snack. We celebrated Cinco de Mayo and learned about a different culture. We made maracas to use when we did the Mexican clapping dance and ate quesadillas with snack. We like to eat!
This week we are going fishing. We will be creating worm tunnels, catching fish in ...Read Full Post »

Aloha! Our trip to Hawaii was wonderful. The children enjoyed dressing up, looking at different sea shells and star fish, reading books about Hawaii and watching a volcano erupt (baking soda and vinegar). We ate shaved ice and saw and tasted many different tropical fruits. We hope you enjoyed the postcard we created from pictures of the beautiful things we saw on the island. Thank you to everyone for all the delicious f...Read Full Post »

November has gone by so quickly. This month we have been trying to help the children develop an attitude of thankfulness for God’s many gifts. We have been expressing some of what we are thankful for during our daily prayer time.
We started the month by learning about and experiencing our senses. It is through seeing, touching, hearing, smelling and tasting that children discover and experience the w...Read Full Post »

Our trip to the fire station was great. A special thank you to the many firefighters who helped teach our preschoolers about fire safety. They showed the children how a firefighter protects himself with his “special clothes”. We also saw the fire engines and equipment used by the firefighters. Thank you to the parents who joined us. Also take time to talk to your child about a fire escape route and a meeting place in ...Read Full Post »

All of our preschoolers are “driving right along”, settling in and getting comfortable. It is hard to believe we have already been in school two full weeks. They are all getting use to the school routines.
We learned about sunflowers, looked at the ones growing in front of the 2nd grade classroom, compared the three different ones in the classroom, picked out the seeds, and created our own sunflower....Read Full Post »
